|Job Description :||The Director for the Office of Administration and Finance (A&F) provides collaborative leadership, strong analytical, financial, and project management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and University leadership at all levels.
Working closely with the Associate Vice President for Budget & Finance, the Director provides supportive oversight and recommendations for planning, policies, communications, and development relative to strategic and financial planning for areas reporting to the Associate Vice President: Financial Services, Budget & Financial Planning, Research Financial Services, Shared Business Service Center, and Risk Management. The Director provides highlevel project leadership on various initiatives and projects and represents A&F to internal and external stakeholders. They coordinate between A&F and colleges, departments, faculty, staff, students, and external constituents and assist with the management of the daytoday operations of A&F.
Manages highpriority projects for A&F that are aligned with the University’s mission and strategic vision. Builds and maintains successful working relationships and coordinates with a wide range of offices, staff, and stakeholders, internal and external to the University. Establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with constituents across all campuses.
Develops, recommends, and implements administrative, fiscal, and operational policies and procedures in compliance with the University, federal and state guidelines; maintains policy and procedure documentation and processes
Assists in strategic communications efforts on behalf of A&F, partnering as necessary with other senior leaders across the University
Prioritizes, manages, and participates in a variety of projects to ensure that financial, service, and operational goals are achieved
Oversees budgeting, financial planning, and approval of department expenditures; prepares budget and financial reports
Provides administrative management and oversight of A&F daytoday operations, including project management; establishes specific and longrange department goals
Supervises departmental staff, including hiring, training, performance management and employee discipline and/or termination
Provides division administrative support, including ongoing review and approval of personnel actions and annual performance evaluation submissions
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
