The GRM U.S. Claims APD organization is looking for a top-notch leader to lead a diverse team of 10-12 Claims Operations Managers who are responsible for field process, driving execution excellence and enabling consistently superior operational results. This is a highly visible role that reports directly to the Senior Vice President and Manager of APD. She/he will have significant exposure to the Chief Claims Officer and his executive leadership team. As a member of the APD leadership team this leader will manage multiple initiatives and drive consistency in execution and change management of our strategy across the ~2,400 person APD Claims organization. The ideal candidate would be a highly collaborative thought leader, strategic thinker and change leader who will help us become operationally excellent. Responsibilities: Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to build a high performing team and culture. Provide tailored coaching, leadership, guidance, and support to a team of diverse professionals. Reviews and monitors APD operational health, business results and execution of processes. Identifies gaps/ inconsistencies, uses collaborative approach to prioritize focus areas and drive improvements. Manages and coordinates implementation of APD Claims programs and initiatives, such as systems implementation, accuracy/quality, customer/agent experience and efficiency improvement initiatives. Owns change management and initiative sustainment best practices. Act as a thought partner to reimagine service delivery, employee, customer, and agent experience in ways that will differentiate us from competitors and helps us win. Oversees staffing to demand and supply capacity management to support APD Claims field operations in acquiring, training, and retaining high performing talent. Committed to providing an exceptional employee experience and creating an engaging work environment. Jointly accountable for annual planning and monthly expense plan monitoring. Continuously assesses expense controls and staffing management in relation to aligned operational budgets. Represents APD Claims on department task forces, committees, and projects. Acts as primary liaison across multiple stakeholders to support prioritization, decision-making and to coordinate responses to problems or issues identified. Leads strategic discussions and reviews with APD leadership team and other cross functional partners. Effectively drives decisions, gains support, and builds alignment. Contributes actively and effectively as part of the APD leadership to executive updates, internal meeting discussions, and department wide decisions. Bachelor’s degree and P&C Claims experience is required. Advance education/degree e.g., Masters/MBA or equivalent experience in relevant roles is highly preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience. Must have relevant and recent leadership experience in Operations and/or in strategic role with demonstrable track record of developing high performing teams that delivered superior results. Must have exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrable strategic thinking, analytical, large scale project management, and problem-solving capabilities. Proven ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization. Strong collaboration mindset and capabilities to create alignment across all levels with key stakeholders Prior experience leading complex assignments, driving change across operations/large teams, and working cross functionally to deliver results is strongly preferred.
