Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Enrollment Services (ES) Technology, the Assistant Director of Systems has broad programmatic responsibility for day to day managing and directing of the systems unit of ES Technology. The incumbent hires, supervises, and trains other staff and serves as day to day primary contact in solving complex problems and issues.
Responsible for all operational needs and processes related to the function of Enrollment Services, including recruitment, admissions, records, graduation, IESC, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and transcript and diploma processing.
Serves on a variety of committees to lead efforts to implement innovative new technologies and better leverage existing systems.
Conducts need assessments, formulates recommendations and implements new programs and services and maintains awareness and understanding of changes in state, CSU, and campus policies and procedures.
Leader, demonstrates a commitment to student success that is mission aligned with the university’s vision, values and priorities. Establishes an ethical and collegial work environment, promoting a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team. Encourages a courageous and resilient solution-oriented environment by participating in new opportunities to further the mission of the university. Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field.
Equivalent to two years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience.
Experience leading teams in Higher Education using PeopleSoft SIS preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Leadership
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical systems issues. Extensive system and technical knowledge to be able to provide expertise and support for upgrades, enhancements and modifications to modules.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and end users in Enrollment Services and with department users outside of Enrollment Services, including preparation of business and technical documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adequately comprehend needs and convey information through both oral and written communication.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with coworkers, faculty, staff, students, and the campus community.
Lead diverse teams to support the operational mission and vision of employers by fostering an ethical, inclusive and collegial work environment.
Demonstrated ability to support ongoing improvement through courageous, resilient, and catalytic leadership.
Lead varying initiatives through a collaborative, service-oriented and communicative approach.
Demonstrated commitment to employee development, recognition, and accountability to further operational goals.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
Salary is commensurate with knowledge, skills, and experience. The University offers excellent fringe benefits.
The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $80,000 – $90,000 per year, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
