Associate Brand Manager – Mucinex
Parsippany, NJ

The Associate Brand Manager (ABM) will be responsible for driving activation and growth for Mucinex in the U.S. The ABM will report to a Brand Manager, and support key initiatives that will establish the brand for future success. In addition, the ABM will have a significant impact on the business by playing a key role in leading activities, analyses, and projects.

Play a role in the development of brand purpose and bringing the strategy to life
Lead cross-functional teams & agencies in execution of advertising, media planning, social community management, website, CRM & promotions, Trade, Shopper, Supply and Finance
Partner with Project Management to lead brand project workflows (e.g. new products, artwork changes, etc.), on-time execution, problem solving and updates to the team
Manage day-to-day business and budget performance, including –
Analysis and reporting of market data and trends to identify insights, key drivers, and share actional recommendations to grow/protect the business
Forecasting brand and category sales
Tracking, inputting, and reporting marketing spend to ensure optimal spending
Partner with Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) team to identify consumer and market trends and insights to lead to actionable recommendations
Identify retail customer needs and develop strategies and trade promotions
Support Brand Manager and fellow brand leaders in annual brand planning and execution of strategy, tactics and delivery of the brand’s revenue and market share goals

Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business / relevant discipline; MBA preferred
3-5 Years of marketing experience, ideally including exposure to equity strategy and advertising development
Prior experience in related fields (Marketing, Advertising, PR)
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing agency relationships preferred
Ability to demonstrate outstanding marketing skills in CPG environment
Strong communication skills, analytical skills, financial skills, forecasting and P&L understanding
Obsession for marketing, advertising & brand-building
Well versed in social & digital marketing channels
Strong commercial awareness, entrepreneurial, ability to influence, creativity
Strong sense of urgency and achievement, resilient and able to respond under pressure
Strong skills in analyzing data to draw conclusions, should be comfortable with Nielsen and Numerator
Proven leadership skills and experience
A proven track record of working independently and efficiently, handling time-sensitive projects, and prioritizing multiple objectives.
Prior experience in healthcare/ OTC marketing preferred but not mandatory
Solid experience in development of strategy for Brand and Brand planning
