Job Description : Tuscaloosa, Alabama, United States Academic Affairs Advising/Peer Support Director/Executive Regular Full-time (Benefits eligible) Closing at: Mar 15 2022 at 22:55 CDT Pay Grade/Pay Range: 59 Monthly (exempt): – Minimum – $ 47590.44 Midpoint – $ 68993.64 Department/Organization: 200603 – Admissions Normal Work Schedule: M-F; 8:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m. Job Summary: The Assistant Director for International Recruitment and Admissions provides leadership and support for the University’s efforts to identify, recruit, and admit qualified undergraduate international students. Coordinates international undergraduate recruitment and marketing efforts for Undergraduate Admissions. Collaborates with key participants internal and external to the University pertaining to international recruitment and facilitates the admissions process for prospective international students. Serves the international campus community as an information source for procedures and as an evaluator of credentials for the campus population of naturalized citizens, permanent residents and citizens who have studied abroad. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree with a minimum of three years of experience in international college admissions; OR a Master’s degree and a minimum of one year of related experience. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Willingness for occasional travel internationally. Valid passport. Must have valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Skills and Knowledge: Must have demonstrated successful experience in developing, evaluating and improving recruitment, enrollment communication and marketing plans for international students.Excellent interpersonal and organization skills; commitment to students; well-developed motivational skills; ability to work independently in a multi-task oriented environment; competently interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of prospective students. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, education, counseling, communication or other related field preferred. Experience overseeing international admissions office or International Student Services office. Candidates that have the ability to speak more than one language will be given preference. Background Investigation Statement: Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.
