||Who we are
At Path we believe behavioral health should be treated with the same respect, rigor, and focus of other chronic diseases. We’re building the future of mental health, and in 20 years we’ll look back and be astounded that we ever treated the physical before the mental.
What we’re solving
Over 65 million Americans suffer from a treatable mental health issue – that’s 1 out of every 5 people. Today it’s difficult to find a provider, and for those with complicated conditions, it’s nearly impossible to find coordinated care. We’re here to fix this.
How we’re solving
Path is at the intersection of tech + mental health with thousands of therapists, psychiatrists, and other mental health services delivering care through a virtual first approach. Our platform matches patients with exactly the right person for their needs, whether it’s experience with a certain condition, gender, race, location, life experience, etc.
2022 will be an exciting year of growth for Path as we continue to expand nationally. We’re a remote team with W-2 employees in 30 states and are looking for an experienced HR Benefits & Compliance Manager to support our people team as we scale.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing startup and build the infrastructure that will support our benefits programs and compliance administration. It’s a role for someone who geeks out on compliance/labor laws, enjoys managing lots of details, and is energized by building forward-thinking benefits programs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain and improve the programs and processes that support our growing team.
Lead day-to-day administration associated with HR compliance – leave programs/FMLA and state-specific plan administration, workers compensation, disability insurance, visa coordination, employment verifications, ADA requests.
You’ll partner with our external vendors/partners such as our legal counsel, leave management firm, accountants, and benefits broker, Sequoia.
Monitor federal, state and local employment regulations to ensure compliance. Build, review, and update employment policies as our organization grows.
Manage our medical, dental, vision and disability benefits programs in partnership with our broker. Support annual plan evaluation and project manage open enrollment.
Manage our fringe benefits programs such as wellness and work-from-home stipends to ensure they are valuable to employees and compliant.
Support HRIS administration and payroll to ensure employee data is accurate and updates are reflected in a timely manner.
Act as a trusted advisor to our team, helping to answer questions big and small.
What We’re Looking For
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Has operations or project management experience. You know how to organize a project into milestones in order to meet deadlines. You’re both a planner and an executor.
Several years of HR benefits and compliance experience. You’ve rolled out benefits programs and have supported companies with employees who were based in multiple states.
Strong understanding of employment regulations and labor laws on a federal, state and local level including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.
Experience working with an HRIS and payroll system (we currently use Gusto but could migrate to another system in the near future).
Polished verbal and written communicator.
You’re comfortable with ambiguity. We’re still building out our people function and the systems to support our programs. Sometimes things aren’t yet created or we don’t have the answers.
You’re resourceful. When we don’t have the answers, you know how to find them independently.
You demonstrate self-awareness and are a natural relationship builder.
Path is a respectful, upbeat, and remote-first team united by our mission of simplifying behavioral healthcare services. We want our employees to be themselves and celebrate each other’s differences. We trust our employees to do what’s best for patients and our fellow team-members without bureaucracy. We prioritize self care and are building a sustainable business for the long term.
As Part Of Our Team, You’ll Receive
The ability to work from wherever you want within the US
Competitive pay and benefits that don’t change based on your location
Unlimited paid time off and flexible scheduling, along with 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year to focus on self-care
Paid parental leave to support you and your family
Medical, dental, and vision insurance through our employer plan
Access to an Employer Assistance Plan (EAP) through our insurance plan
The equipment you need to ensure your home office sets you up for success
