|Job Description :
|Responsible of overseeing the daily operations of the Glass Department and ensuring that the unit is meeting its goals.Provide direction and guidance to the Team Leader or Assistant Team leader, which includes putting up working standards and monitoring performance.Manages the Glass department to achieve department goals, schedule attainment, GBR synchronization and satisfy the manufacturing department’s needs.Work hand by hand with the Saw Business Unit Leader to ensure the DBR and GBR are synchronized to meet the production schedule.Maintains direct communication with the Contributive Areas Manufacturing Manager any problems that prevent from complying with the work itinerary (absenteeism, lack of materials, quality, performance, defective machinery, etc.)Anticipates and reacts to labor and material shortages.Investigates root cause of quality, quantity or processing issues and implements solutions to prevent reoccurrence.Ensures safety and environmental awareness and compliance by all department employees.Responsible for the scrap reduction program.Monitor and review department project activities and ensure that they are brought to completion within scheduled period of time.Perform review of equipment and system layouts and its validation.Ensure harmonious environment for working.Responsible for training and mentoring staff; motivating them all for effective performance for the general growth of the company.Minimum Requirements: BS/BA in Business Administration or Engineering.Fully bilingual: Spanish / EnglishMust be safety cautious.Strong ability to motivate, lead, and give directions to team members.Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively with all members of the team from various backgrounds.Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate with team members and the management.Excellent organizational skills and profound ability to schedule multiple activities and resources for efficient and effective utilization.Solid knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices and procedures.Experience with machining or/and manufacturing process.Possess experience working as a supervisor.*Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.Decision making skills: have the ability to analyze information and evaluate results in order to make the best decision in solving problems.Planning skills: the ability to develop specific plans and goals to help in accomplishing tasks efficiently.Motivating skills: be able to encourage and build team spirit among staff, bringing about mutual respect and cooperation.Managerial and leadership abilities.Ability to identify new opportunities and exploit them to the benefit of the company.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: One location
