Description
As Menzies Aviation Cargo Supervisor, you will be responsible directing and coordinating the activities of departmental non-exempt employees such as, office/ warehouse workers and office/warehouse lead.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Lead Cargo Agents; allocating resources as needed to ensure proper staffing is scheduled for office and/or warehouse operations.
Involved in the interviewing process, conduct performance evaluations, issue disciplinary actions and work with Account Manager on final decisions in these areas. Trains new employees
Ensures proper documentation is prepared by staff in order to maintain compliance with the FAA, DOT and other regulatory agencies.
Reviews operational reports and resolves problems to ensure minimum costs and delivery delays.
Performs safety audits to ensure employee safety.
Ensure that Cargo Operations personnel adhere to established company safety regulations
Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed
Resolves employees concerns and submits to manager for action.
Trains, develops, and educates staff.
Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role
Must follow all Security procedures as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
One-year college certificate or technical school, six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior Cargo, Warehouse and airline experience required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Possess valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials and documents
Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to Safety and security
Must have read and signed the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual and the Station Security Manual
Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including drug testing and ten-year background check as required by US Customs.
