Job Description : | 1. Supports the Massachusetts State Police utilization of the ACISS and Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management systems; responsible for project management, including supervising assigned staff and tracking their projects. 2. Supports the development strategy for standing up the various elements of the ACISS system to replace the current system (RAMS); provides training to users. 3. Designs, develops and implements complex database models and templates utilizing information gathered by ACISS for Command Staff members and other stakeholders. 4. Provides training and technical direction to members of the Department of State Police regarding ACISS and other records management software, and/or custom applications and records management systems developed to report required data. Creates procedures for utilizing ACISS and other records management software and applications. 5. Supports and instructs users on tasks and reporting requirements related to all operations of the ACISS environment and other records management environments; Exchanges information, resolves problems and ensures compliance with established standards. 6. Oversees and administers ACISS servers and workstations by installing and troubleshooting system software and programs. 7. Under the direction of the EDP Systems Analyst IV, administers ACISS access and security for the Department of State Police. 8. Maintains liaison with the private vendors, the Executive Office of Public Safety and other stakeholders in order to exchange information and/or to resolve problems. 9. Performs other related work as required. Qualifications First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A Bachelor’s degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.* II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of three years of the required (A) experience.* III. A Bachelor’s or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.* Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed. NOTE: No substitutions will be permitted for the required (B) experience.
