CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT ANALYST – IT INFRASTRUCTURE
ALTA IT Services has a contract to hire opening for a Configuration Management Analyst with 5+ years of experience in Software Configuration Management, Release Engineering, Infrastructure management. The role will support a leading, Washington DC-based health insurance customer. Work is 100% remote for the remainder of COVID safety measures: with the future expectation of periodic onsite meetings in the Washington DC area, after pandemic conditions ease (e.g., a meeting once every other month).
This is not a deeply technical, hands-on position; but primarily a coordination type role, supporting a large, corporate infrastructure. The analyst will coordinate infrastructure changes with internal and external stakeholders, utilizing their strong communication and organizational skills, build schedules, track milestones etc. The ideal candidate will understand basic IT infrastructure such as servers, firewalls, IP addresses, on-prem and cloud. Weekend rotating support will be required.
Responsibilities:
Upgrading/Administering changes to the core infrastructure supporting a wide range of applications.
Understand business requirements and develop configuration management plan.
Develop and implement effective configuration management processes.
Maintain documentations of build processes for future reference purposes.
Communicate system configuration status to management and client on regular basis
Maintain and enforce configuration management policies and procedures.
Develop best practices to improve integrity and quality of configuration processes.
Evaluate existing configuration management processes and recommend improvements.
Provide support in system design, development, testing and implementation activities.
Assist in configuration audits and communicate audit recommendations to Managers
Oversee system configurations and migrations in multiple environments.
Work closely with development, QA, and external teams to complete configurations tasks within deadlines.
Analyze and troubleshoot configuration problems in a timely manner.
Review and implement configuration changes according to business requirements.
Attend customer meetings, kick-off meetings, configuration meetings, and production meetings as needed.
HOURLY RATE: $60/Hr. range. Benefits available
