|Job Description :||Property Management Accountant – Corporate Real Estate General Summary – must be able to start ASAP, Part-TimeWe are a national vertically integrated real estate brokerage, property management, construction management and construction company located in Downtown Denver, Colorado. We are seeking to grow our team by adding a full time Property Management Accountant.Responsibilities & QualificationsIn this role, you will provide accounting oversight and perform monthly close activities for your own portfolio of residential multifamily and light industrial commercial properties. This is a hands-on position within a growing and ever-changing real estate company that offers a variety of real estate services to our customers. Primary areas of responsibility include:Preparation of monthly financial reports for 10-15 customer-owned residential multifamily and light industrial commercial properties, for various owners, primarily on accrual basis within YardiReview of new leases and lease abstracts, vendor contracts, AP bills, etc.Preparation of annual CAM reconciliations & related billing to customer tenantsManagement of all aspects of property general ledger and security deposit accountingPerformance other regular periodic audits and reviews including Rent Roll, Charges, and ARAssistance with AP, AR processes as requiredPreparation of account reconciliations (operating cash, security deposit, and loan accounts)Providing ad-hoc reporting, and support external audits and tax preparation for property owners as requestedParticipation in and management of aspects of annual budgeting processQualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Bachelors Degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 5 years’ progressive experience in full-cycle accountingMinimum 5 years Yardi experienceMinimum 3 years multi-family property management accountingDirect experience and proficiency in Yardi, Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft Office and related softwareExceptionally self-motivated, well-organized, able to adapt quickly to competing and changingpriorities while closely monitoring critical dates and departmental obligationsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high-level attention to detailAbility to adjust to evolving operating proceduresMust have a “Customer Service” orientation to all internal and external stakeholdersProven ability to work well in a team structureStrong organization and communication skills and the ability to both lead and problem solveAssumes responsibility and fully completes tasks or projects with a high level of detail orientation.Maintain high ethics and personal integrity including a high level of confidentiality in all financialmatters.Job Type: Independent Contractor, Part Time (30-40 hours per month)COMPANY OVERVIEWEnergy Real Estate Solutions (ERES Companies) is focused on providing clients in key energy markets with a “one-stop-shop” for all real estate services.
