Job Description : | Tectonic is currently seeking a full-time Credit & Collections Supervisor to join our Corporate Accounting Department based in Orange County, NY. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review daily cash applications and perform collections forecasting; Supervise the processing of incoming payments via direct deposit and check on a daily basis, including updating in Deltek Vision; Supervise day to day activities of collections, including coordinating follow up telephone calls and ensuring all documentation is properly recorded; Review and prepare monthly client statements for outstanding invoices; Manage research and resolve client problems to facilitate prompt payment of accounts and manage delinquency reporting; Collaborate with the management team to keep them informed of any client feedback, issues, and to prep for the litigation process, when necessary; Document methods and procedures of accounts receivable function to improve efficiency; Ensure Credit & Collections team follows all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently; Oversee and maintain the process of performing credit checks for new clients; Preparing credit memos and bad debt write-offs; Assist with projects as needed and audit requests; All other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or any other suitable combination of experience of education, training, or experience is acceptable; Must be computer proficient, with the ability to effectively execute essential functions in accordance with Company procedures utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF and ability to learn company specific software; Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently; Must be professional and possess good telephone and interpersonal communication skills in order to work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within the organization. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must handle and/or feel documents, materials, and/or equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. Constantly, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and in person.
