Job Description : | Supervises and ensures smooth, accurate, and efficient day-to-day operation of service center or satellite office micro-branch. Ensures that all policies and procedures regarding teller transactions are consistently and correctly followed. Responsible for a wide variety of administrative work related to the successful operation of the branch teller line. Performs all teller and member service functions as needed. Contributes to an environment that excels in service excellence, member engagement, and encourages a sense of social responsibility through volunteering, as well as efficiency and compliance as it pertains to our business plan. Builds business through sales of Credit Union products and services. Processes a wide range of financial transactions for Credit Union members and maintains accuracy according to organizational standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervises all daily activities of service center. Supports all aspects of branch, including individual and team performance.Builds a high performing team through the attraction, on boarding, coaching and development of branch team members.Directs and manages all delivery system options to provide efficient and quality member service at all times.Assists with other personnel activities of staff, such as hiring, training, performance appraisals, disciplinary matters, rewarding, and motivating.Assigns work and delegates responsibilities to staff and monitors progress to ensure area goals are met and high-quality member service is maintained.Fosters All Team culture by providing open lines of communication and cooperation between all areas. Cultivates strong working relationships and builds trust among team members.Ensures all assigned staff follows policies, regulatory requirements, and procedures including those for dual control.Properly secures all negotiable items and confidential records at all times. May provide safe deposit services where required.Assists with unusual transactions, and authorizes overrides and/or approvals up to authorized limit.Ensures that all checks received are scanned and submitted daily to Item Processing.Promotes, explains features and benefits, and cross-sells Credit Union products and services to help members meet their financial needs.Presents features and benefits of share, negotiable deposit, retirement, and fiduciary accounts.Opens accounts, performs maintenance, account changes and reconciliation, and error resolution. Ensures all regulatory requirements regarding accounts are followed.Inputs and processes consumer loan and mortgage requests. Interviews members to determine loan qualifications.Offers recommendations according to underwriting guidelines and completes documentation required for loan disbursement.Serves the community, coordinating and actively participating in area events, including public speaking, while representing the Credit Union.Responsible for building business through sales of products and services, as well as through serving the community and actively participating in area events while representing the Credit Union.Assists with establishing performance goals for the service center and for each team member, as appropriate. Guides staff in developing action plans to reach stated goals. Responsible for the progress of service and sales culture within the service center and for attaining established goals.Demonstrates consistent proficiency in individual and overall branch work quality, to include CIP and Red Flags. This also encompasses work errors in the areas of member service, loans, and teller transactions according to organizational standards.Sets day-to-day operational objectives for team. Assigns work and delegates responsibilities to staff and monitors progress to ensure department goals are met and high-quality member service is maintained. Cultivates strong working relationships and builds trust among team members.Responsible for other personnel activities of staff as assigned, such as hiring, training, performance appraisals, scheduling, and disciplinary matters.Attends job-specific training classes as requested by manager. Completes annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.Minimum Education, Experience and Skill RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.3 or more years as a Member Advocate or similar position in a financial institution.Good organization, prioritization, analytical, and problem solving skills in order to effectively supervise area of responsibility and attain goals set. Able to resolve difficult problems and situations.Good knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.Good knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators.
