The Décor & Product Management Specialist will report to the Head of Product and will be based in our North American (NAM) headquarters located in Lexington, NC. This role is a key contributor to executing the EGGER’s NA décor and product management strategy.
You will coordinate all décor management activities for EGGER in North America Lead NA décor trend research, support décor product launches and management of existing NA décor products. As a member of the product management team you will lead educational training regarding interior decorative trends and the EGGER décor offering with special focus on supporting Sales initiatives. In addition, you will also coordinate training activities with our NA customers in regard to the ideal application and use of EGGER’s decorative products.
The deliverables for this role will focus on collaboration with cross functional teams to execute product assortment initiatives and projects. Your scope of influence includes but is not limited to NA Distribution, OEM and DIY markets.
Responsibilities
General market evaluation, trend analysis & benchmarking of competitor products (TFL and Laminates)
Collaborate with global Décor and Design Management (Europe) and communicate learnings derived from the NA market like proposals for décor and surface developments for NA
Attend relevant domestic and international industry conferences, tradeshows and exhibitions. Provide summary and/or trend reports for the team to review.
Deliver NA Décor and trend presentations to EGGER sales group, customers and A&D community. Educate the Marketing and Sales teams on décor & trend as needed.
Assist architect consultants on larger projects. Present Décor & Trend related presentations to large key customers.
Increase customer relations by attending customer’s events, seminars (Industry, Distribution, DIY, and key account architects) and collaborating with key internal staff (Specialist, Designers)
Provide Décor & Design support for NA customers and field representatives (decoration recommendations; décor performance information)
Develop a competitive décor and color complementary matching program
Conduct product analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams
(Ex. Production, Logistics, Sales, Marketing)
Product strategy recommendations
Product lifecycle management
Conduct product analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Ex. Production, Logistics, Sale s, Marketing)
Support market research activities, marketing campaigns and major initiatives
Deliver product trainings for EGGER employees, direct customers and indirect customers
Carry out trainings for EGGER
Analyze and provide reports of knowledge gained from trainings to the relevant EGGER departments.
Second Level Support for Sales Teams in regards to product complaints
Lead various NA product management projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (design, interior decoration, architecture, marketing, sales, engineering) and 5 years work experience
Experience within interior decorative products, interior design, product management, sales, marketing, and/or product development
Strong product and operational knowledge rooted in driving collaboration
Experience analyzing business opportunities and optimizing product assortment based on inputs from multiple consumer touchpoints
Market Trend analysis and Benchmarking of competitor products
Strong training and presentation skills with the ability to present to sales and customers in an effective easy to understand manner.
Strong organization, prioritization and computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Familiarity with project management tools
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (minimum 25%)
Additional Preferred Knowledge
Experience within NA interior design and architecture professions
Experience with NA interior decorative products and trends
Experience with products made from wood-based materials (specifically kitchen cabinets, residential closets or office furniture)
Knowledge and experience with commercial production machinery for particleboard, TFL and laminate
