Job Description : Job Summary: Put your strong organizational and people-skills to work by joining University Housing’s Dining & Culinary Services team! This position will oversee and manage Dining’s career and student employee hiring and onboarding processes, as well as Dining’s ongoing training program, which targets professional growth and development for our staff. This position will also serve as the primary liaison with our Human Resources department in matters of hiring and employee relations. University Housing Dining & Culinary Services employs approximately 170 career employees and 500+ student employees. Responsibilities: Initiates, develops, and implements operational services that support a defined project, program, work unit, or function to advance program goals and objectives. May supervise staff and/or approve unit expenditures. 60% Plans, implements, executes, and evaluates existing strategies and objectives for a program and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program or function enhancement 15% Identifies workflow needs, contributes to the development of strategic and operational solutions, allocates resources, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures 10% Schedules logistics and secures resources for program activities across multiple work units to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications 5% Leads the development and preparation of periodic reports and financial statements, and records progress, status, or other special reports for leadership or external agencies 10% Lead the function of acting as note taker in discipline meetings and draft any necessary letters as it pertains to disipline. Tasks: Manage Dining & Culinary Services hiring processes for career employees, including applicant screening, interviewing, and selection. Manage the Dining vacancy list. Manage the onboarding program for new employees as well as the planning for ongoing departmental trainings. Serve as primary Dining & Culinary Services student employment program coordinator Serve as Dining & Culinary Services’ primary liaison to University Housing Human Resources for hiring and employee relations activities. Perform duties for a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment. Provide support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency. Efficiently navigate campus in order to support the various University Housing Dining units and respond to emergency situations.
