As Center Director, you’ll coach staff and manage the overall learning experience for students—ensuring consistent, meaningful, high-quality education. In addition, as principle point of contact for the franchisee and Executive Team, you’ll meet Center performance goals, manage costs and create marketing strategies that result in growth.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSManage the day-to-day operations of the CenterMonitor and track Center performanceSelect, develop and motivate Center staff, conducting regular performance reviews to ensure professional success and developmentGuarantee timely and high-quality personal customer service in response to all calls and walk-in inquiriesReview all corporate communication and disseminate to Center staffSupport effective instructional managementDirect the service and communication process throughout the customer lifecycle to support high customer retention ratesPromote financing options that meet the customer’s needsOnboard new enrollmentsEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizationsConduct school visits to establish and maintain relationships with school personnel for partnership and marketing purposesEnsure the professional appearance of the Center according to Sylvan standardsEnsure adherence to established Sylvan operating standards with particular attention to student safety and well-beingKNOWLEDGE REQUIREDFour year degree requiredOne year of customer service experience preferredOne year of education/teaching experience preferredOne year management experience preferredSales experience is a plusExperience using Microsoft Office and other standard business applicationsKnowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phonesFamiliarity with instructional technology and tablet computers preferredSKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDStrong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills—outgoing people-oriented approach preferredProven ability to effectively use customer service and consultative sales skills to establish and build relationshipsProven ability to supervise, coach, and develop staffStrong presentation skills for small group opportunitiesAbility to track and interpret business metrics and financial statementsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong word processing, data entry, and other administrative skillsStrong organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexibleProven ability to communicate effectively in writing and to proofread and edit copyAbility to work collaborativelyAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekendsAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to ten poundsIf you need another incentive to join us, we are offering a $500 hiring bonus as well.
