| Job Description : | DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCEA large, growing Urgent Care company with over eight offices in New York is looking to hire a Director of Compliance to oversee the company’s Corporate Compliance Department. The Director of Compliance will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the compliance program. He or she will be responsible for performing periodic audits to ensure compliance, conducting investigations as necessary, providing advice to leadership and staff regarding ethics and compliance concerns, and ensuring company-wide adherence to applicable policies and procedures, laws, regulations, and other governmental requirements as appropriate. The ability to travel to all sites on a monthly basis is required.ResponsibilitiesOversee and monitor the implementation, review, and maintenance of the Compliance Program.Review and revise the Code of Conduct and other compliance policies and procedures as needed.Develop and implement the educational and training materials and programs related to the Compliance Program.Coordinate and monitor compliance training requirements for employees.Coordinate internal monitoring and auditing to ensure compliance with all healthcare laws and regulations.Ensure that healthcare entities meet laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices that govern the healthcare industry.Respond to all internal and external inquiries regarding compliance.Manage Compliance Committee, including maintaining minutes of meetings.Investigate compliance-related concerns, including, but not limited to internal and external ethics cases, HIPAA/HITECH violations, controlled substance discrepancies, and ADA complaints.Performing responsibilities with a demonstrated high degree of integrity, good judgment, assertiveness, professionalism, and an approachable demeanor while eliciting the respect and trust of employees.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree; advanced degree is a plus3+ years of compliance experience in the healthcare industry; preferably in an Urgent Care settingExtensive knowledge of corporate compliance programs and healthcare law including but not limited to False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, Coding, Billing, and Healthcare agencies and regulatory standardsExperience in successfully implementing ethics and compliance initiatives required.Ability to collaborate with others, strong interpersonal skills, ability to evaluate facts, determine alternative solutions to problems, evaluate courses of action, and make sound management decisionsAbility to travel from site to site, as required.Prior experience building out a compliance function from scratchCertified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferredEqual Employment OpportunityDivinity Medical Services is committed to providing equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or membership in any other class protected by federal, state or local law.Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Healthcare Compliance Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)Compliance management: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations |
