Job DescriptionPosition: Director of Internal AuditSupervisor: Audit CommitteeDivision: Kickapoo Traditional CouncilDepartment: Gaming CommissionResponsibilitiesThe Director of Internal Audit will perform various audit duties and submit extensive report documentations of findings to the Audit Committee for review. The Director of Internal Audit will also conduct unannounced internal audit observations, whenever possible, and assist in the investigation of significant suspected fraudulent activities within the gaming operation.Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following: An individual must be able to successfully perform each the essential functions of this position listed below with or without reasonable accommodation.· Develop a flexible annual audit plan using appropriate risk based methodology, including any risk or control concerns identified by the audit committee and submit the audit plan to the audit committee for review and approval.· Implement the annual audit plan as approved, including, and as appropriate, any special task or projects requested by the audit committee.· Perform consulting services, beyond internal audit assurance services, to assist management in meeting its objectives.· Issue periodic reports summarizing results of audit activities to the audit committee and management.· Keep the Audit Committee informed of emerging trends in gaming and successful practices in internal auditing.· Provide a list of significant measurement goals and results to the audit committee.· Assist in the investigation of significant suspected fraudulent activities within the gaming operation and notify management and the audit committee of the results.· All KGC employees are responsible to ensure that their designated operations are in compliance with Tribal and Federal gaming regulations.Education/experience requirements: Minimum Qualifications: · Must be 21 years old or older· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other appropriate discipline.· Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP)· Must be able to receive and maintain KTTT Gaming Commission Gaming License.Preferred Qualifications: · Native American preference is observed.Background Check Requirements: KTTT HR Name- Based Criminal Background Check Requirements Apply:· Texas Department of Public Safety· Department of Family & Protective Services Central Registry Check· Out-of-State Central Registry Check (if applicable)· Fingerprint-Based Criminal Background Check with Federal Bureau of Investigation and Texas Department of Public Safety.· Background Check with Sex Offender Registry· Tribal Police when applicableNative American preference is observed: KTTT recognizes preference for KTTT tribal members and qualified Native American tribal members including preferential treatment in recruitment, hiring, promotions, layoffs and reductions in force so long as they meet minimum job qualifications.Job Type: Full-timePay: $89,589.00 – $211,730.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:CasinoOfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Eagle Pass, TX 78852: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
