| Job Description : | Coordinate student progression and grade watch programs. Monitor academic progress of each student each semester to determine progressions, probation, or any other changes in academic status. Notify students of any change to their academic status and advise appropriate actions required. Provide proactive advising for student with academic risk and work closely with faculty and staff to address concerns. Maintain confidential student academic files and databases. Manage students in crisis in conjunction with university counseling on an as-needed basis. Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on best retention and student success practices. Possess a strong understanding of requirements and policies as stated in the university catalog including, but not limited to, information on pharmacy education, university requirements, and academic policies and procedures. Manage alternate degree plans, academic calendars, advisor training, and occasional presentations.
Facilitate enrollment of probation students and the maintenance of grades and official student files for all professional students. Coordinate with associate/assistant dean and academic advisors to address concerns or issues that arise that may affect student performance in the classroom. Integrate MUSOP students into main campus by working closely with MU offices and departments; prepare third year graduation checks, verify graduation requirements, and prepare graduation lists for certification of degree. Assist with student interview days, white coat ceremony, student orientation, and commencement activities as needed. Other duties as assigned by Associate or Assistant Deans. Professional travel and weekend hours may be required. Required Experience Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
