| Job Description : | Key Responsibilities: · Optimize Supply Chain systems, procedures, and policies involving purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and shipping.· Supplier management including negotiating contracts with suppliers, as well as performing research and selection to enhance profitability, reduction of operating costs and boost efficiency· Keep informed on availability and price trends on new materials, products, and sources· Take necessary actions to eliminate delays to ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules· Direct supply chain team on the usage of materials to produce the product taking into consideration numerous variables. Hold team accountable for assessing and anticipating material trends and usage based on information from other departments· Managing supply base through fact-based decision-making processes, holding suppliers and supply management team members accountable for their performance· Develop and implement a consistent approach, tools, and process for cross-functional supply chain analysis, driving alignment and consistency· Conducting presentations to internal and external customers, suppliers, and senior management· Manage team through physical inventory process. Evaluate and report significant inventory variance, lead team through identifying root cause and corrective action for inventory discrepancies· Other responsibilities as requestedQualifications: · Unimpeachable good judgment and ability to handle matters with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy· Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and assistance to all levels of employees· Strong critical thinking, negotiating, and influencing skills· Proven “roll up your sleeves” ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including managing multiple projects while meeting objectives and deadlines· Self-starter able to work independently with little supervision· Strong project management skills to guide teams in expanding supply chain options· Strong administrative and data management skills· Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner· Demonstrated success translating data into actionable insights· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, or related field of study· 7+ years of progressive personal growth in supply chain with three years minimum in a leadership role. Experience managing a multifaceted team of 5 – 12 people· Experience in a manufacturing environment· Skilled in computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP systems.
