Job Description : Provides leadership and direction for all aspects of the Retail Operations. This position is responsible for overall performance of various operations of retail including, employee services, office operations, systems and is accountable for achieving company objectives in regard to costs, productivity, customer service and profitability. WHAT YOU’LL DO Demonstrated results-oriented leadership including the ability to model total development and serve as a steward of Hot Topics mission and values. Oversees the operations and organization of all departments within the retail aspect of the facility. This includes all production departments, satellite departments, service departments, systems, and traffic. Project management for any new or upgraded systems or equipment. This includes detailed budgeting, management, and tracking of all costs. Ability to effectively work in collaboration with others to achieve objectives in a participative management style. Helps develop and analyze key performance metrics for the DC. Collaborates with appropriate business partners to ensure consistent customer service to all stores. Ongoing evaluation of all procedures and policies and recommendations for changes. Oversees the hiring and review process for all retail management. Creates and maintains budgets for all Distribution departments and develops tracking mechanisms as necessary. Ensures proper training and development programs are in place throughout the Distribution departments. Ensures a strong succession planning process is in place for the facility. Outstanding verbal, written and technical communication abilities. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred. Previous Director level experience is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience. 5+ years of store fulfillment experience. Demonstrated experience with DC improvement based on KPI’s. Experience leading large teams (over 200 associates) in high volume, automated environments. Demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of wave management philosophies and optimization of the management of product flow through high pace unit sortation systems. Experience with integrated high unit demand PTL sortation
