| Job Description : | Pilot has the best employees in the transportation and logistics industry!Pilot Freight Services seeks an e-commerce operations manager to lead in its Gouldsboro, PA Fulfillment Center. The online fulfillment center handles large B2C and B2B order volumes for several e-commerce clients. As a front-line leader, you will have an opportunity to develop the talents and capabilities of a team of 3-4 supervisors and 20-30 order processors and material handlers to meet and exceed our client’s goals.We seek leaders who have a passion for energizing and enabling their teams to drive safety, quality, and productivity success. Our front-line leaders also have the opportunity for personal and professional development opportunities to help drive their careers to the next level.RequirementsManage the assigned non-exempt workforce (~30) with a focus on achieving daily productivity and accuracy standards, ensuring positive employee relationsDevelop, monitor, report, and achieve daily and monthly shipping targets and ensure order cycle times are met and in line with SLAs. Monitor and document any variances to the plan.Accountable for meeting/exceeding picking performance and accuracy, implementing accountability and recognition measuresResponsible for inventory and warehousing of finished goods.Engage in LEAN and continuous improvement projects.Responsible for staging shipments and delivering service level agreements for online consumer orders per Company policies and State, Federal and International regulations.Accountable for maintenance and accuracy of data on computerized distribution systems (WMS).Responsible for interviewing, on-boarding, and overseeing the separation of employees as neededWorks with our contingent staffing agency to bring in supplemental help as business volume warrants, in line with business financial goalsOther duties as assigned by Senior ManagementQualificationsAbility to effectively and professionally communicate via email, telephone, and two-way radios to employees, management, and external customersKeen attention to detailTechnically savvy, ability to utilize various computer programs, scanning devices, and train others on their functionality.Analytical mindset – able to view data in various reports and utilize them to diagnose and improve operationsStrong execution, proactively seeking ways to improve personal and organizational effectivenessAgility, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and cut timesBuilds collaborative relationships with the team, providing clarity to team members and their role in achieving goals.Develops supervisory team’s technical and leadership skills.Embraces and initiates change, challenging their environment and proactively seeking process improvements.Previous e-commerce fulfillment experience is highly desirable.If you are interested in working with a talented, passionate and dedicated team of professionals in a rapidly growing industry, Pilot wants to hear from you!Job Type: Full-time |
