Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of experience with front-end and user interface development. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization. Experience with developing consumer facing products. Experience working with 3D technology. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world. Responsibilities Manage a team of 8+ software engineers building next generation experiences. Create new Street View features which allow users to get more done within Street View. Work with backend Street View teams to optimize and create better experiences for users. Work with Product and UX teams to scope and plan new features and releases.
