| Job Description : | DescriptionThe Events Manager serves as the primary event professional to oversee and execute large-scale AIU System events. This role is part of a brand marketing team and will partner with academics and support teams to develop, organize, staff, budget, and coordinate system-wide student and staff events, with commencement ceremonies as the major focus. The job is remote however frequent travel during event times is required. Principal duties and responsibilities include:Assume ownership of university annual commencement ceremonies for 6,000+ attendees; provide oversight of additional university eventsCreate and manage multi-faceted project plans for event logistics, communications, branding, staffing, etc.Coordinate and oversee all event logistics including catering, venue selection, transportation, décor and furniture/linens, floor plan, equipment, IT support, and facilities requests per eventOversee production of creative materials with internal teams or agency – signage, branding, etc.Implement innovative social media engagement opportunities and visualization at all eventsCreate a communication plan targeted at invitees, registrants, and non-registrants; ensure event attendees have access to the info they need and non-attendees can engage virtuallyMaintain current informational materials for university website, student portal, and staff FAQsObtain media compliance and/or legal approvals as neededIndirectly lead and organize indirect reports across the university to support event needsEffectively manage event and marketing budgets and production costs for all events; forecast costs based on projected attendance growth, accrue expenses, and track annual cost trends; continually re-evaluate and refine expense for fiscal efficiencySource and implement standardized systems and technology to automate elements of event planning, registration, tracking, communication, and production where possibleQualifications***Required Skills*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem solving skills.Strong writing skills.Proficiency in Publisher, Microsoft Office Suite.Tech savvy.Confident personality.Extremely organized, responsible and detail oriented.Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree preferred, Associate degree required.
