Job Description : | Quality / Process Engineer A successful manufacturer of custom molded rubber components for the automotive industry, located within two hours of Atlanta, has an exciting career opportunity for a Facilities Manager.The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling, work performance and performance management to ensure that measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction, and effective staff performance are achieved. This position will review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement. This position is responsible for ensuring that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual who will be extremely hands- on in support of all areas of the manufacturing operations.Required skills include:· Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent industry experience·- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations· Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)· Excellent problem-solving skills (separation of issues, special vs. common cause, identification of root cause, implementation of effective countermeasures)· Demonstrated leadership capability (getting things done through others)· Effective crisis management experience and high-pressure situations· Prioritizes activities to maximize positive impact to the business.- Self-motivated- Multiple problem-solving methods- Strong communication skills, verbal and writtenPreferred skills include:- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a facility manager or equivalent related functions· Experience with CMMS or ERP software a plus.Core responsibilities include:Manages the staff, process and activities for maintaining all plant machinery to ensure safe, continual and efficient operation.Ensures that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed.Monitors and continually improves maintenance processes and maintenance personnel performance to achieve enhanced levels of efficiency.Oversee contractors, key vendors/consultants, management of delivery schedules, warranties, liquidated damages, and performance guarantees.Review budget projections for current and upcoming projects and schedule forecasts to ensure plant projects are completed on-time and on-budget.Lead by example by being involved in plant safety programs. Ensure maintenance employees stay engaged in all plant safety systems, processes, and initiatives.Plan, develop and implement effective equipment maintenance programs designed to maximize plant capacity and equipment reliability.Provide and maintain a technical and maintenance library which shall include maintenance and test procedures, instruction books, technical manuals and drawings for all plant equipment and systems.Maintain plant in a safe and productive state to ensure the health and safety of all employees and in order to achieve maximum productivity.Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.Communicates directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and proceduresMaintains and repairs maintenance shop equipmentEstablishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipmentPrepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problemsCommunicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issuesAssists with hiring of maintenance personnelInitiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costsEnsures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all timesDirects, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance techniciansMonitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.Reviews and observes the work of the maintenance employees and directs development/training requirements;Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate management staff; allocate resources accordingly.Train or coordinate training in facility maintenance and safety methods, procedures, and techniques.Pay range $85,000 to $95,000/ based off experienceJob Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offRelocation assistanceRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOn callEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Facilities Maintenance Management: 1 year (Required)Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)automotive industry: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
