| Job Description : | The General Manager will successfully execute the operational strategy through sound leadership of all hotel activities in alignment with the mission, core values, standards and goals established by Main Street Hospitality.Hospitality & Guest Services:Ensure that all guests and team members feel welcome and are given friendly, responsive, efficient and courteous service at all times.Create and maintain a customer-driven hotel that inspires employees to do their best. Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service.Create rave reviews from our guests.Provide all guidance and information to employees and guests and answer any questions with enthusiasm.Operate all assigned aspects of the hotel on a daily basis with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, integrity, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion and courtesy.Accountable for responsibilities of Department Heads in their absenceEnsure brand standards are met with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations.Managing Expenses & Owner Relations:Work with Regional GM and MSH Leadership on budget concepts (revenue, costs, etc.) for the entire property.Manage departmental labor & expenses by adhering to protocols, close monitoring and approval of purchase orders, accurate monthly forecasting, and comprehensive P&L reviews.Direct and coordinate operational activities of all departments in effort to affect operational efficiency.Leadership in presenting accurate monthly financial reporting.Ensure that all reporting requirements of the owners and management company are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.Achieve stated objectives in outstanding guest service, guest experience and overall hospitality, employee satisfaction, sales, expenses, financial success and owner relations.Revenue Enhancement:Create and maintain excellent working rapports with MSH Leadership Team to enhance Rooms revenuesConsistently provide new recommendations to drive profitabilityTraining and Development of Team:Manage hotel leadership team to achieve stated financial goals.Execute performance reviews and training of staffPartner with HR to determine workforce strategies-especially seasonal impacts, recruitment, hiring of all new staff, employee relations, disciplinary events and development opportunities.Public Relations with Brand and Social Media:Maintain a strong presence in community public affairs and with local businesses by serving on a local non-profit boardLocation: 40 Plunkett Street, Lenox, MA 01240Location: 40 Plunkett Street, Lenox, MA 01240Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year |
