Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to Company, Safety, and Animal Welfare policies and procedures
Supervise hatchery operations and employees
Ensure shift operations start as scheduled
Ensure labor needs are met
Monitor team members ensuring chick quality
Resolve employee problems, and issue disciplinary actions as required
Coordinate daily operations with management
Coordinate with maintenance to correct or repair issues
All other relevant duties as required
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma, Bachelor degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or other closely related field preferred
1+ year(s) poultry experience
1+ year(s) supervisor or leadership experience
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, Spanish comprehension skills preferred
Proficient technology, computer and analytical skills
Physical/Environmental Factors:
Walk, stand and perform physical labor majority of shift
Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend
Exposure to temperatures from 60 to 105 degrees, and up to 100% humidity
Lift 5+ lbs, and push 75+ lbs
Exposure to significant amount of airborne dust and feathers
Exposure to chicken manure and associated odors, including ammonia
