We are seeking a highly motivated Healthcare Payment Resolution Lead to join our Revenue Services team. We will consider out of state candidates for this opportunity as the job can be performed remotely. The Healthcare Payment Resolution Lead will be responsible for providing guidance and training for day-to-day functions of the Payment Specialist, Pre-Paid Specialist, Cost Estimate and Credit Resolution Teams. The individual in this position will act as a resource to members of all teams and assist in the coordination of information throughout the department of Revenue Services. The Lead will also assist with special projects and research of issues and trends as needed. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintain knowledge of and comply with established policies and procedures, and make recommendations for process improvements, as needed. Keep all procedure manuals updated. Train employees on existing and new procedures Assist employees and effectively communicate process updates to team. Review invoices escalated for refund approval, and escalated invoices when additional help is needed. Assist with Quality Reviews Assist with difficult accounts and/or requests/projects from management as needed. Act as escalation point for issues from the team, gather information and perform research to help resolve. Act as a point of contact for other department’s requests and provide information back to requestor in a timely manner. Assist Cost Estimate specialist with incoming requests, issues and questions, as needed. Assist Payment Specialists and outside departments with Contract Fee Schedule issues and questions. Requires a bachelor’s degree in related field and/or 5 years of experience in the healthcare field with exposure to direct patient contact on billing issues, insurance billing and medical terminology. Working knowledge of AMA coding guidelines, government and commercial payer regulations, insurance contract analysis, and denial resolution is required. Must possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritize and delegate multiple tasks, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills is required. The ability to communicate with all levels within and without the organization in a tactful, professional, business-like manner. In addition, this candidate must possess strong PC skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications.
