Job Description : Big Dog Solar is seeking an employee-centered HR Manager who will assist in the growth of the company, implement HR programs and policies and support the core values and mission of Big Dog Solar.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Collaborates with the leadership team to understand and accomplish the organization’s human resource and talent strategy.· Conducts all new employee onboarding and employment verifications.· Implements all pertinent HR company policies and oversees the updates of the employee handbook.· Supports with employee payroll tasks, which may include, but not limited to payroll reports, benefit deductions, tracking PTO and changes in salary.· Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, develops, and updates job descriptions.· Coordinates employee appreciation events and oversees employee birthday and anniversary announcements.· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.· Supervises employee relations, concerns and suggestions.· Oversees the employee corrective action process, terminations, and investigations.· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.· Manages the health benefits program.· Performs other duties as assigned for the betterment of the Company.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: · Bachelor Degree in HR or related field, and/or SHRM certification required.· Minimum of 3-5 years of HR related experience required.· Proficiency in: MS Office Suite.· Payroll support experience preferred.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Human Resources Occupations: 3 years (Preferred)Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
