With 50 clinics and 5 surgery centers, led by 95 providers and more than 1,000 team members system wide, we deliver world class care to patients throughout Florida, the Carolinas and Virginia.JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Revenue Cycle an Insurance A/R Follow Up Manager is responsible for managing a team of staff that focus on follow up and collection activities on all insurance A/R including surgery, clinic, and optical services. Responsibilities also include managing the resolution of clearinghouse insurance payer rejections, responding to payer audit requests, and medical record requests. An Insurance A/R Manager’s success is determined by % of A/R aging, department’s timeliness of working claims denials, and cash performance.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensuring claim denials are worked within 7 days from denial dateEnsuring claims without response are worked timelyDetermining staffing needs to adequately cover inventoryReducing and maintaining A/R aging 180+ under 7.5%Ensuring clearinghouse rejections are worked within two business daysOrganizing and ensuring medical records requests are submitted timely to payers, attorneys, etc.Consistently meet cash target goalsWorking as a team to provide coverage and assist staff with questionsDeveloping, recommending, and implementing plans for improvement to increase cash collectionsWorking with other managers to resolve issues and implement avoidance proceduresGenerating and presenting data/reports to leadership and teamEscalating and communicating payer denial trends with leadership and payer provider representatives to resolutionManaging and direct daily activities to ensure compliance with all applicable policies and proceduresOnboarding, training, and coaching of new and existing A/R SpecialistsManaging a team of A/R Specialists including timecard approvals, approving time off, hiring, employee evaluations, etc.Other duties as assigned by your managerCOMPETENCIES: Outstanding communications skills, both written and oralExperience in healthcare revenue cycle management, specifically in A/R follow upThrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneouslyExceptional skills in prioritizing and must be highly organized with superior attention to detail and accuracyAbility to identify root cause of claim denials and provide tools to best dispute with payersFlexible work styleHigh level of comfort in taking initiative and willingness to navigate new situations and recommend solutionsVery proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Value the opportunity to make new connections and provider interconnect support, proven collaboratorStrong interpersonal skills including relationship and trust building, communication and listening, and personal engagementAbility to analyze data to guide efficient research and decision-makingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalency is requiredPOSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time remote positionBENEFITS: 401(K) Company MatchMedical and Dental InsuranceVision BenefitsFlexible Spending AccountsPet InsuranceDisability InsuranceLife InsuranceContinuing EducationPaid Time OffUS Eye provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Job Type: Full-time
