Job Summary:
The Internal Communications Manager will drive initiatives within the company to create an outstanding experience for Inogen employees (domestically and internationally). This position will drive clarity and awareness for programs and initiatives across the company, help create a culture of transparency and information sharing which leads to our employees feeling informed, empowered, and excited about Inogen. The Internal Communications Manager will implement strategies to support retention and engagement, and will identify ways to drive business objectives through the various communication channels.
Responsibilities (Specific tasks, duties, essential functions of the job)
Create, implement, and measure the success of a comprehensive internal communications strategy and employer branding strategy in collaboration with CHRO and leadership.
Support team member engagement through communications efforts to help ensure an understanding of Inogen’s culture, vision, strategic goals, and overall business objectives.
Able to identify behavioral proof points that reinforce cultural goals and use different modes of communication to share these across team member population.
Align strategy with team member engagement, recruiting, reward and recognition, benefits, and wellness goals.
Work with HR and marketing communications team to develop employer branding content that is inspiring, informing, and engaging for social media, company intranet, award applications and internal presentations.
Develop team member segmentation model and implement to ensure that messaging can be targeted to relevant individuals and business units.
Develop and nurture communications channels throughout the company to ensure that messaging reaches targeted segments of staff and ensure a mobile-enabled delivery medium.
Create and manage active feedback forums/mediums and respond to feedback in a manner that creates a climate of psychological safety.
Maintain and apply knowledge of the latest communication technologies and tools to enhance team member engagement and reach our geographically dispersed workforce.
Actively lead change management communications planning and make recommendations for team member segment communications.
Draft communications for leaders, departments, and enterprise distribution which reflect the strategic and situational narratives and reinforce identified themes with ethos, pathos, and logos.
Establish standards and templates for internal communications related to common use cases.
Document, formalize and socialize communication processes across the organization.
Monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of internal communications programs and initiatives using established metrics and reports for key programs.
Work across the organization to develop and maintain a strategic perspective.
Ensure that the Marketing Department’s mission, vision, and values are pertinent and practiced throughout the development process.

Qualifications (Experience and Education)
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, such as communications, English, required.
Advanced degree MS/MBA/MA, preferred.
7 years in internal and/or external communications or public relations with demonstrated success, required.
5 years’ management experience, required.
Advanced knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
