Located near Boca Raton, FL they support 8,000 Franchised Businesses in the U.S. and internationally, servicing approximately 50,000 customers. The IT Project Manager is responsible for defining, monitoring, and delivering multiple projects ranging from short 1-month to extensive full-year projects. Tasks will vary with a mixture of sales, technology, finance, organizational growth, and ad-hoc projects. The IT Project Manager owns delivery of project scope, schedule, and budget and will follow best practices project management techniques to coordinate project effort towards the successful completion of the project(s).
The IT ERP Project Manager will oversee a large, complex, enterprise-wide, multi-year initiative to replace our ERP system and be responsible for end-to-end oversight of the ERP implementation initiative. This is a highly visible, level role that will own the project from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery. Note, this is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity. Travel to the office may be required for a few days every few months. During the contract period, the hourly pay rate will be $45 – $50 per hour, plus any travel related expenses.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTIBUTE
Creates and maintains the Project Work Breakdown Structure
Maintains the Project Issues and Risks Log
Monitors and maintains project financials and forecast
Creates meeting agenda, presentations, and minutes
Develop and present weekly status reports
Uses best practices project management techniques to track progress against planned targets throughout the lifecycle of the project
Manages small to medium size projects independently
Develop and distribute documentation to the user community as needed
Complete ad hoc analysis and reporting
Complete special assignments necessary to support business strategy
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
Stay current on project management best practices and provide expertise
WHAT YOU BRING
Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design or computer science
5+ years of successful Project Management experience managing complex IT projects, especially ERP related projects
Successfully leading, motivating, and managing various projects and program team sizes, including internal and external resources
Experience with resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Ability to mediate between IT and non-IT end users
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written contexts, and comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
Knowledge of MS Office applications, experience with MS Project or equivalent an advantage
Solid understanding and planning skills in all aspects of the system’s/business project life-cycle, i.e., enhancements, user requirements, application configuration
Ability to follow Enterprise Program Management standards, documentation, and reporting requirements
Local to South Florida preferred. Will consider remote work from within the USA.
