| Job Description : | Department: Information Services Category: Civil Service Location: UI Health Close Date: 03/16/2022 Job Type: Full-Time Shift: Days Description: The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is seeking to fill the position of IT Technical Associate (Enterprise Engineer – Data Management Team) for the Information Technology Services department. The Enterprise Engineer proactively maintains UI Health’s Enterprise computing environment which includes on premises and cloud computing systems and footprint to ensure high availability of mission critical applications. This involves working with premises and cloud design, database design, Enterprise storage design, Enterprise backup design. Duties: Participate in planning, developing and implementing Linux and Windows environments needed for Enterprise solutions and tools Participate in planning, developing and implementing cloud strategy Maintain cloud code repositories for the creation, modification and management of cloud resources Collaborate with security administrators to secure cloud infrastructure Participate in planning long term cloud infrastructure strategy Maintain change management processes Understand, design, and deploy cloud services based on application needs Participate in planning, developing and implementing database architecture and footprint Participate in planning, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise storage Participate in planning, developing and implementing Enterprise backup environment Work with team members to implement cost control strategies Understand cloud networking Able to troubleshoot code, network, and systems for both cloud and on premises deployments Work with other teams to migrate on premise workloads to cloud services Responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure availability On call operational support and coverage Help maintain onsite systems Create proper documentation and run book of all system builds and processes. Manage problems and problem escalations in accordance with ITIL standards. Monitors system performance, recommends and implements adjustments to improve efficiency Maintain awareness of emerging products and trends and be an educational resource to other team members Create proper documentation and run book of all system builds and processes. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Education: Bachelor degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, related information management field, or a clinical area of study Experience: Minimum 1 year professional IT experience which includes: Demonstrated experience in the design implementation, maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, trouble shooting, problem resolution, and user assistance required of the database environments, or related clinical experience.
