| Job Description : | Manager, Audits & Special Projects – (81355) Position Highlights: Position: Manager, Audits & Special Projects Location: Evanston, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full-time The position ensures accurate financial records and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, governmental regulations, and internal controls. The position researches and establishes accounting policy, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for all aspects of NorthShore. The position manages internal and external financial audits, benefit plan audits, and Uniform Guidance (UG) audits. The position will also interact with senior management of the organization on a regular basis including providing reports and analysis as well as on ad hoc projects. What you will need: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Experience: 5+ years total work experience, public accounting experience preferred PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook). Experience with Lawson or equivalent ERP system preferred. Certification: CPA preferred What you will do: Manages internal and external financial, benefit plan, and UG audits. Researches accounting guidance to ensure current financial reporting is accurate and implements new accounting pronouncements as applicable to NorthShore. Prepares quarterly and annual external financial statements and posts to external sites in compliance with debt covenants. Oversees the monthly account reconciliation process to ensure reconciliations are completed timely and accurately. Responds to questions and ad hoc requests from operational leaders and senior management.
