Position Overview
Reporting to the DVP – TD & OE, the Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will create and lead the company’s suite of resources, tools, and engagement actions that build and embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into the organization’s DNA. This high-visibility role, will partner with HR and business leaders in all efforts, while championing new thinking, new actions, and coaching continuous improvement towards our DEI principles and goals in everyday work and the organization culture.
Key Accountabilities
Plan & execute creative and impactful strategies that engage, educate, and develop people in alignment with Aspire Bakeries’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mission, vision, and goals
Oversee the development and impact of the company’s DEI Council (steering group)
Review current company practices and policies, assessing fit to DEI goals, and work with leaders to make improvements that support diverse, equitable, and inclusive ways of working
Create communities that promote learning, sharing, and celebrating of diversity & inclusion.
Partner with Communication, Marketing, and Customer Development teams on language and messaging that reinforces our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion mission, vision, and goals
Partner with HR teams to integrate DEI principles into organization processes, systems, and tools that attract, retain, and develop our associates
Seek out and maintain knowledge of DEI-related issues, legislation, and best practices, and bring best advice and solutions forward to ensure organization legal compliance & create improved people engagement and capabilities
Apply metrics and analytical tools to evaluate the impact of our DEI initiatives, leveraging data to drive continuous improvement

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing DEI initiatives in a mid-size or larger organization
Bachelor’s degree or advanced certification in Business, Human Resources, or related field
Experience in analysis and reporting, including market research, trend analysis, external benchmarking and identifying internal opportunities to improve
High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual conference tools (Webex, Zoom, or other)
Must be able to travel in the US & Canada, and work in manufacturing, company office and home office environments
