Job Description : | Summary Statement:Under limited supervision and partnership with the US VP of Finance FP&A Manager has responsibility for the US budget, quarterly forecasts and P&L analysis associated with Megger US business units: creation, monitoring, reporting, and associated financial planning and analysis. The FP&A Manager is in charge of business forecasting and corresponding budgets as well as performance-based analyses. The FP&A Manager will look for data trends or deviations in the company’s financial records, and will partner with BU leaders to comes up with strategies for improvement toward achieving division goals and to map out plans to deliver such goals.Essential Job Responsibilities:FP&A is in charge of the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the entire US company with special emphasis on commercial channels.Prepare and analyze financial performance, trends and KPI schedules for multiple Megger divisions within the USA including supervision of Division’s Financial Analyst.lead a Financial Analysts and ensure that processes such as budgeting, variance analysis, and efficiency improvements happen as plannedFP&A Manager will work with Corporate FP&A team in the UK to consolidate US budget & forecasts and create business plan for the entire company.Partner with Business unit leaders finding ways to make better use of resources and then lobbying senior management to implement these changes.Preparation of division’s annual plan including updating product costs in SAP and preparing cost center budgets, which are monitored and reviewed with department managers each month.Position involves extensive use of SAP data warehouse for both operations and finance.Review and monitoring of all Engineering capitalized costing each month as well as year-end impairment review of released projects.Extensive interaction with Operations, Customer Support and Engineering Managers on inventory planning and control, purchasing to customer forecast and Engineering project cost control.Communication skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.Interpersonal skills: Professional, respectful, helpful, sincere, positive and energetic persona.Listeningskills: Ability to hear and meet the needs of Customers (Internal & External).Problem-solving skills: Advanced problem solving skills: Accounting & P&L management.Minimum Skill Sets and Competencies:Undergraduate business degree (Accounting, Business Admin, Business Management, Finance, etc.), Graduate degree preferred, significant differentiator.10 to 15 plus years work experience as a Controller with a manufacturing company.Experience with financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processesDemonstrated success in financial modeling and analysisDemonstrated experience using SAP ERP system application with a manufacturing company.Strong business partnering and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of Lean Principles and their application, “Six sigma” process experience helpful.Understanding of work processes and methods required within a design and manufacturing company.Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlinesExpert level proficiency with Excel, Word, MS Access and PowerPoint Excellent interaction skillsAdditional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Equal skill working effectively independently, within small teams, or as a team leader.Visible advocate for P&L Accounting process engineering improvements.Organized, flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditionsStrong ability to Multi-Task with demonstrated ability to get things done with an attention to details.External Contacts: ExtensiveAccounting Audit Service Companies / Professional SocietiesMegger Wide Accounting & Finance team members I Megger Sales Team/ Megger CustomersTravel Requirements:3 to 5%Disclaimers: Company management reserves the right to add, delete, or otherwise alter assigned duties at any time.
