In this invaluable role, you’ll be joining the Insights team within Salesforce Industries, will be responsible for producing Industry Vertical trends and imperatives research, interactive data experiences, customer-facing content, and more. Our group blends data analysis, storytelling, and a passion for industry trends to create thought-provoking content.
This individual will be at the center of this team’s Insights content creation activities by managing strategic projects and evangelizing the team’s current projects with Salesforce’s Cross functional partners in Marketing, Content, Demand Gen, and Public Relations.
Responsibilities
Organize, facilitate, and project manage vertical focused research for Salesforce’s key target industries (e.g Retail and Consumer, Financial Services, Health, etc.) from inception to publication.
Develop a recurring sub-vertical research program that dives deeper into custom data and craft unique content on our strategic sub-verticals
Communicate project timelines, responsibilities, and approval frameworks for understanding within and outside Insights team
Coordinate responsibilities and resources internally at Salesforce and externally with vendors and partners
Own and manage the library of assets for the extended Industry Insights team (e.g., slide decks for subverticals and reports)
Contribute to field-facing decks interpreting the team’s research into enablement, pitch content, sales tools, and marketing assets
Help our team’s work scale across segments, industries, and geographies
Partner with our enablement team to weave in and produce insights-based assets and tools for the field
Work with key stakeholders across the company to ensure our team’s work is timely and strategic
Skills and Experience
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You’re an ace at getting people onboard with ideas and project plans. You feel comfortable sharing your ideas in front of executives.
6+ years in project management and/or marketing, preferably at a tech company, marketing/PR agency, consulting or analyst firm (other relevant industries considered).
Exceptional proficiency in research survey methodologies and managing complex integrated timelines from inception to publication
Proficiency with real-time collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Google Docs, Hangouts, Quip) required.
Presentation skills through PowerPoint and Google Slides required. You know how to use visuals and a talk track to get data and insights across quickly.
Excessively organized. Your calendar is your best friend, and you have a sixth-sense for when a project is about to fall off track.
Ability to translate brand, product, trend information/strategies into marketable, commercially powerful editorial stories
Your team would describe you as high energy, problem-solving, and innovative. When you encounter obstacles, you look for the most effective and creative solution with a positive mindset.
Tech industry knowledge and interest. You are plugged into what’s trending at the intersection of business and technology.
Research project lead with tasks including but not limited to project scoping, stakeholder management, vendor management, research design, and content development
Manage and support survey programming, sample procurement, fielding, data management, and analysis of all team projects, with a keen attention to detail, data integrity, and quality control throughout the process
Manage panel data sources and research vendors (i.e., survey tools, full-service firms) to negotiate project quotes, contracts, evaluate new vendors, and maintain existing vendor relationships.
