Job Purpose Lead and manage a centralized staff of New York and New England Maps and Records Supervisors, Analyst/Coordinators, Designers and Technicians ensuring accurate and timely updates of all electric Geographic Information System (GIS) and CAD (RCC Database) mapping data for Upstate New York and New England. Key Accountabilities Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including in part, Control Center Operations, Field Operations, Engineering and Design groups. Responsible for the integrity of the GIS database. Perform GIS data quality and reliability improvements to support the achievement of the company’s reliability targets and goals. Responsible for absolute accuracy and timely updates of all mainline switching diagrams Ensure that Emergency/confirming work is accurately closed and updated in systems and progressed to financial closeout in a timely manner. Responsible for the completion of Work Order Cancellations in all systems and reallocation of work order charges as required. Manage the operational workload of team; ensuring allocated staff is fully utilized in order to deliver against agreed program of work in a timely manner. Manage a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling, and team building effectively and efficiently accomplish job tasks. Responsible for workplace safety to ensure safe working conditions are maintained. Provide Operations support during storm and emergency events. Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree, Information Technology, GIS/Geology or Engineering discipline preferred or equivalent experience, preferably in a leadership role. Basic design, operation, and construction knowledge of electric overhead and underground transmission/distribution systems, substation and power generation. Knowledge of CAD system maintenance, CAD systems including Microstation, AutoCAD, and Document Management System. Knowledge and understanding of local labor agreements and negotiation skills. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface and communicate with people at all levels across organizational boundaries. Working knowledge of SAP, STORMS, GIS, CAD, CSS, and MS Office applications.
