Job Opening for Manager, Reimbursement in NorthShore University HealthSystem (2650 Ridge Ave, Rm G603C, Evanston, IL 60201)

The position ensures accurate financial records and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, governmental regulations, and internal controls. The position researches and establishes accounting policy, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for all aspects of NorthShore. The position manages internal and external financial audits, benefit plan audits, and Uniform Guidance (UG) audits. The position will also interact with senior management of the organization on a regular basis including providing reports and analysis as well as on ad hoc projects.
What you will need:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or finance preferred
Experience: 5+ years total work experience, prior experience in hospital cost reporting preferred
PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook).
Experience with Lawson or equivalent ERP system preferred.
Certification: CPA preferred

What you will do:
Oversee completion and audits of hospital cost reports and other regulatory reports with insurance and governmental entities.
Review Medicare and Medicaid public files and other reports to ensure NorthShore is receiving proper reimbursement and oversee filings of Medicare appeals.
Oversees relationships with external consultants on special projects to optimize reimbursement in areas including wage index, bad debt, and graduate medical education.
Supervise work of the Senior Reimbursement Analyst.
Responds to questions and ad hoc requests from operational leaders and senior management.
