Description As the Manager Technical Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of Certification Programs including workflow management of certification process steps: Certification Decision and Corrective Action Resolution Review, as well as, continuous improvement and service delivery. Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Select, train, develop, motivate and evaluate a competent workforce. Serve as the highest technical authority in assigned program area. Oversee staff members in certification decision and corrective action resolution review. Manage assignment of tasks and responsibilities to staff; Ensure level and balanced workflow through monitoring of data and reports and reallocating resources as necessary to meet production goals. Assure that the operations meet all production goals for turnaround times, quality and output. Supervise the department’s technical operations staff. Review records, reports, and other documentation to substantiate and authorize Certification. Work closely with Technical Operation Director to support daily operations and to assure priority alignment between relational and transactional teams. Work closely with Technical Operations Director in the development and implementation of annual and strategic plans. Oversee the development, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations. Support new business development initiatives through participation in suspension reviews, investigations, technical discussions with potential clients, and production of high-quality deliverables. Communicate with clients and relational staff on technical issues relating to process steps or requirements. Assist the Technical Operations Director in the development, implementation and revision of Certification policies. Oversee the development of and updates to standard operating procedures for assigned area. Develop and implement strategies that ensure standard revisions and standards development activities support the objectives of the NSF Certification program. Represent NSF to clients, trade associations, and governmental agencies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical or science-related field. Significant experience in a leadership role overseeing a team Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge of processes and general understanding of expectations of certification bodies. Superior computer skills in Word, Excel, Oracle, etc. Excellent supervisory skills. Familiar with continuous improvement and processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Business Management. Demonstrated ability of data analytics and data driven decision making. Physical Demand Required to sit for long periods of time. Willingness and ability to travel and work independently. Light physical effort required (ability to move 50 lbs. from one area to another). Work Environment Work performed in an office environment. Smoke Free Work Environment.
