| Job Description : | Responsibilities include: Delivers straightforward administrative and/or other basic business services in Provider Licensing and Credentialing.May assist in the implementation of procedures and activities related to the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging of providers.Maintains and reviews provider information relating to state licenses, DEA certificates and any other credentialing documents.Gathers and completes all necessary documentation and paperwork completely and accurately for all applications.Identifies issues that require addition investigation and evaluation, validates discrepancies and ensures timely and appropriate follow up.Conducts thorough background investigation, research and primary source verification of all components of the application file.Upon license renewals, obtains documentation from the physician/mid-level provider and medical boards, as well as obtain primary source verifications from medical boards website(s).Communicates with providers by e-mail/secure message regarding credentialing status and information. Issues tend to be routine in nature.Good knowledge and understanding of Credentialing and business/operating processes and procedures.
