WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a curious, driven, and hard-working leader who loves retail, and who has a deep understanding the role visual merchandising plays in delivering the ultimate consumer experience at retail. You need to be able to think strategically and collaborate seamlessly across teams. You have strong communication & influencing skills and be results & solution oriented. You will work across multiple functions and levels within the organization which will require you to be a strong creative thought partner.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
This role plays an integral part in the Nike Unite/Value retail concept and is directly responsible for delivering seasonal VMS presentation strategies, tools and direction that sets the expected brand standards and enables flawless execution specific to that concept. A typical week consists of regular cross-functional meetings related to the development of Nike Unite, new door opening readiness, seasonal VMS planning and in season business meetings. In this role you will partner with Field VMS teams to understand the needs of the concept and to refine the work as needed to make continual improvements. Additionally, you will partner closely with a cross-functional team of brand and business partners to enable an accelerated growth plan for Nike Unite/Value.
Develop clear Nike Unite/Value VMS priorities & presentation strategies that elevate the in-store experience and uniquely position this concept in the marketplace.
Act as peer mentor and coach to VMS Team through regular connections to share findings, develop new ways of working and seek out innovative solutions to shared problems.
Obsess the tools needed to enable and empower the field to implement the vision. Partner regularly with territory & city to refine and modify as needed.
Develop and champion strong and collaborative relationships with Global & Geo functions.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will work with a diverse set of teams within WHQ and field organizations. This role reports directly into the Director Visual Merchandising and is encouraged to build and sustain collaborative working across all teams. You will also work closely with Geo, Territory & City VMS teams to build a strong flow of communication and an open dialogue to understand team needs and relevant marketplace and competitive trends
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, VM, Design or extensive experience in Visual Merchandising or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
Proven experience in retail marketing, visual merchandising, product merchandising or directly related experience.
Possess a clear passion for the art and science of VMS.
Passion for team, people development and collaboration!
Demonstrated experience crafting engaging and inspiring in-store displays. Footwear & apparel experience is preferred.
Knowledge of current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations for retail.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as strong influencing & negotiating skills required!
Confident presentation skills with command of Outlook calendar, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote, Mac proficiency strongly preferred.
Ability to travel approximately 4-6 times per year
