Job Description : | Are you interested in a career with a mission to improve the health of North Idaho women, infants and children? We are seeking full-time Office Services Supervisor to provide leadership to staff working in the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects associated with supervising a team including training, motivating, managing performance, prioritizing workloads and monitoring accuracy of work. This position will also be expected to provide nutrition education and resources to families seeking services in a safe, compassionate, and respectful environment. To read more about the WIC program, visit our website at https://panhandlehealthdistrict.org/WIC/.Example of DutiesProvide leadership to a team of Customer Service RepresentativesEvaluate the work of direct reportsCompile statistical information to meet reporting requirementsActively participate in reviewing and making recommendations for process improvements, policies and procedures to benefit the WIC program.Collaborate with other departments to better serve clients seeking servicesConducting in-depth interviews of clients to determine eligibility in the WIC program and explaining servicesAssisting families with completing required documentationOffering other community resources to meet the family’s needsCreating and assuring coverage of scheduling needsAssuring staff competency and providing training to new and existing staffMinimum QualificationsGood knowledge of office support functions and supervisory practices.ExperienceInterpreting, applying and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies or servicesIndependently solving problems/performing liaison activities to deal with individuals or resolve conflicts in a work settingSupplemental InformationIt is essential that the candidate selected for this position have strong communication skills with the ability to provide information to meet diverse learning styles, as well as attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
