Your role
Are you independent and self-driven? Do you have sharp analytic skills and solid due diligence experience?
We’re looking for someone who can:
perform monthly/ quarterly review of Key Procedural Control Instances (KPCi), including review of credit officer decisions to ensure approvals are sound, align with policy and designated credit authorities
perform weekly review and oversight of Deal Pipeline and Exception Tracker to ensure transactions and any associated exceptions are captured correctly and completely to ensure accurate reporting
ensure all reviews are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established our policies and proceduresprovide feedback and guidance to Credit Team Leads to ensure issues are understood and remediation / action plans are implemented timely
develop a deep understanding of our lending products; Implement policy and procedure improvements by working closely with the policy team and credit officers/ SMEs
communicate to management key themes and issues identified that could have direct impact to portfolio quality
participate in risk management meetings and present topics pertaining to potential issues noted
assist the Risk Governance team in developing KPCs and evaluate effectiveness and consistency of KPCi’s and provide QC reporting and analysis
Your team
The Portfolio Management and Control Team is responsible for portfolio oversight and implementing and executing controls for lending products overseen by the Credit Risk Control group. Lending products include Securities Backed Lending (SBL), Tailored Lending (TL), Private Equity lending, Hedge Fund lending, Mortgages, Credit Cards, CRE and Custom Credit.
As an analyst in the Portfolio Management and Control Team you will build relationships and interact with key control functions including Credit Officers, Senior Risk Management Team, Portfolio Analytics, Risk Governance, Group Internal Audit (GIA) and Credit Risk Review (CRR). The Portfolio Manager will possess a strong understanding of and have experience with credit risk management and quality control, as well as gaining in-depth knowledge of Bank Credit policies
Your expertise
university undergraduate degreeideally 3+ years of experience in a securities backed lending environment
exposure to quality control, loan origination, or other related experience
understanding of the HNW/UHNW business or ability to learn quicklydemonstrated strong Risk and Program Management skills with the ability to demonstrate a Control mind-setproficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)ability to deliver quality results against fast-paced project deliverable deadlinesexperience writing policies, procedures, and prepare audit/risk reports for senior management and for regulatory agencies as requiredability to work very well with others and excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skillsdetail oriented and careful about quality of work and an expert problem-solverproduce professional-looking presentations and reports
