Cash Posting Supervisor
This position will be responsible for the supervision of all cash posters. Must take assume personal responsibility for the cash application functions regarding insurance, patient payments and denials. This position will also ensure all daily, weekly and monthly deadlines are met in the cash applications process. Can effectively train and communicate our goal of excellence to the team.
The main job duties will include but will not be limited to:
Extensive working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance coverage rules
Must be proficient in of Microsoft Office Suite of products, specifically Word and Excel
Knowledge regarding hospital billing practices with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payors
ICD10, ICD10 Procedure Coding, Medical Terminology and basic coding is helpful
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to foster an environment that nurtures collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect
Ability to work independently and perform under deadlines
Must be able to read, comprehend and act upon payor and regulatory updates
Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality
Qualifications:
Minimum high school education or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/training role or similar responsibilities
Minimum of 5 years’ in the healthcare industry performing billing and claim follow-up work
