The Privileged Identity Management Analyst position at Ally is a member of the Information Protection and Risk Management (IPRM) team and reports to the manager of Privileged Identity & Access Management Operations. The Analyst works with a operational team to support and maintain identity and access management technologies to meet specific security requirements. The Analyst also supports lifecycle management and privileged identity management processes to ensure a secure environment is maintained. This role does provide oversight and support of 24/7 support for Ally’s Identity Management suite of solutions The Work Itself The Privileged Identity Management (IAM) Operations Analyst is a subject matter expert (SME) on one or more security technologies within the identity and access management discipline. Under direction from the Manager/Director and in line with stated strategic objectives, the Privileged Identity Analyst will help with driving requirements and strategic planning for IAM capabilities to protect Ally’s identities, access and assets. The IAM Analyst will work with project managers and other project resources to successfully support projects on time and on budget. The IAM Operations Manager will also be responsible for ongoing operations of all IAM solutions, function as the SME for this technology stack, and will assist in troubleshooting system degradations and outages if required. Some (but not all) of the technology sets the role will be primarily involved with are as follows: Privileged identity monitoring/privileged access monitoring Identity management solutions, including cloud solutions Identity directories Single sign-on and federated authentication systems Identity-as-a-service solutions Multi-factor authentication solutions Identity governance solutions The Skills You Bring Minimum of 3 years information security specific experience with IAM technologies. Demonstrated knowledge of maintaining IAM platforms of various types. Experience with managing and controlling privileged access and identities Unix administration background is a strong plus Active directory administration background is a strong plus Agile team experience, particularly Product Owner experience is a strong plus Ability to document security governance processes and procedures in team runbook or playbook. Ability to perform data analysis using standard office productivity software. Bachelor’s degree in information systems or relevant field of study heavily preferred. CISSP, CISM or CISA preferred. Strong knowledge of current cyber security threats and techniques, as well as a dedicated and self-driven desire to research current cyber security products. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail. A strong customer/client focus with ability to manage expectations appropriately and provide superior customer/client experience and build long-term relationships. Effectively works as part of a security teams on projects and resolving incidents. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with an ability to make independent decisions when appropriate. Experience gathering and facilitating the development of business and system requirements within a broader project team. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to learn and use business productivity and management software. Must be willing to work after-hours and weekends when technical issues arise which require immediate resolution.
