Job Opening for Process Manager Paper I in International Paper (1201 W Lathrop Ave, Savannah, GA 31415)

The Savannah Mill is currently seeking a Front-Line Leader for the Finished Products department. This position reports to the Business Unit Manager and is responsible for the direct leadership for operating teams working on a rotating shift in a team environment. Including, but not limited to:
Lead the team to an injury free work environment through leadership by example and modeling safe behaviors.
Responsible for making sure that all team members are trained and adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
Ensures team members receive necessary training and certifications to obtain necessary skills to safely operate the department.
Personal attention to and direct involvement in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, including improvements in the housekeeping standards through the 5S process.
Coordinates all the activities of team members working in the Riverside Paper Mill area.
Responsible for product quality, safety, training, environmental compliance, costs, productivity and employee engagement.
Appropriately recognize as well as counsel employees concerning work performance.
Supervises the execution of jobs according to the Daily Work Schedule.
Responsible to schedule and monitor contract work within his or her area of responsibility as directed by APM.
Solicits recommendations from team members on improving existing procedures and plans.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Set-up FLL experience a plus
Good safety, performance, and attendance record
Willing to work on rotating shifts
Must successfully complete FLL Training & Certification program
Manufacturing experience (Operations or Maintenance)
