Job Description : | Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor will lead a team to load perforating guns and manage the day to day operations of the gun loading facility. Responsibilities include developing and training a team of gun loaders to ensure that perforating guns are loaded error free and on time to meet customer needs. Additional duties include working with the engineering and R&D team to provide gun design recommendations to improve quality and reduce cost.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRepresents DynaEnergetics locallyProactively implements Safety and Environmental plans in line with DynaEnergetics and DMC policies and with local and federal requirementsAssembles, leads and develops a stable and performing teamLoad and download guns with appropriate explosive charges under pre-established company safety proceduresProvide analysis of build quality through tracking error rates, error catching and coordinate with feedback from field performance to develop a world class, error free gun loading facilityWith a strong emphasize on Process Reliability, structures the operational plans at the production facility, including plans for Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement (5S, “On-Time delivery”, other programs)Lead continuous improvement efforts to improve the gun loading facility, ensure error free assembly and minimize assembly cost.Lead the inspection of all reusable gun/tool components and the load out of jobsCoordinate activities and labor requirements with Blum personnel.Apply an “HR” policy in line with DynaEnergetics and DMC and according to labor lawsEnsure compliance with all ATF regulationsDevelops operating and capital expense budgets of the production facilityMonitors operations with respect to the operational budget to ensure expenditures are in lineResponsible for competitive manufacturing costs and increased productivity levelsWorks directly with the Supply/Logistics teams to effectively respond to the needs and requests expressed for products required as well as determining root cause of any defective product that reaches the customerContributes to the production of timely relevant reports for management and participates in the reporting processResponsible for accurate data entry and inventory in SAP program for GLF materials and work order consumption.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the supervision of the assembly perforating gunsQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceMinimum 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with 1-3 years responsible management position1-3 years oilfield experience preferredHigh School Education required; Bachelor’s Degree preferredExperience with explosives, knowledge of regulations and able to pass ATF Responsible Person certificationPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
