| Job Description : | Responsibilities The Program Director will initially be responsible for developing and implementing a masters-level genetic counseling training program that meets, and will continue to meet, accreditation requirements of the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC). Program development may include design, coordination, administration, planning, and development of the Program. This development encompasses curriculum, clinical and research training and rotations, and includes: 1. Leading discussion on the education needs of future genetic counselors 2. Creating and managing partnerships with academic, medical, and commercial institutions 3. Working with the ACGC and the ABGC to ensure educational programs meet accreditation requirements 4. Determining faculty needs and recruiting faculty 5. Developing a timeline and plan to achieve New Program status and accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling 6. Teaching as necessary in the Program 7. Clinical role as a Genetic Counselor as necessary.
