Overview of Role/Job Purpose:
The Digital Project Manager will be responsible for managing digital customer engagement projects at VertexOne. The Project Manager applies knowledge of all Project Management discipline areas (Scope, Risk, Quality, Financial, Procurement, Communication, Schedule and Integration) to create / maintain or lead the creation of deliverables for project planning, execution, reporting, reviewing and decision making. The project manager will have responsibility for the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects, lead client, functional and technical teams that may consist of business analysts, quality analysts, application developers or IT Technical resources in the execution of the project objectives, including project deliverables, performance to budget, and adherence to schedule. Applies industry best practices to projects.

Duties:
Ensure effective governance model is defined and implemented to ensure project success
Create and manage project plan components
o Create Project Plan
o Baseline Plans
o Maintain Project Plans at appropriate level of detail
o Ensure that all tasks are appropriately scheduled (dependency, dates, resources, effort, etc.)
o Ensure Critical Path is understood and managed
o Ensure Milestones are defined and met
Work with client teams to make sure project plans, requirements are approved and signed off, client tasks and deliverables are clearly communicated to the client team and are held accountable for their deliverables
Monitor project progress and provide ongoing project reporting
Document and manage risks, action items, issues, constraints, assumptions, escalating as appropriate
Manage assigned resources for project
o Progress
o Remove Roadblocks
o Reassignment (as necessary)
Establish and Maintain relationship with functional organizations
Schedule appropriate meetings related to program
Manage and Maintain Time Management
o Ensure Project Resources are assigned to appropriate tasks
o Approval of Time / Review of remaining hours
o Reject and re-allocation of inappropriate time
Participate in cross functional and client meetings and work sessions related to new products and services, process improvement, operational issues, change management and other related subjects.
Monitor project progress and provide ongoing project status reporting
o Prepare Status
o Report on Tasks
o Report on upcoming Meetings
o Report on Actions/Issues/Risks
o Report on Budget time/Dollars (Burn)
Support clients to define the overall business direction and programs required to support new and developing business trends; support over-arching change management process
Skills/Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of project management; PMP certification preferred
5 + years (minimum) experience working as a Project Manager in operations and/or business environment (consulting or support of external client a plus)
Two full cycle web implementation project experience
Highly organized and able to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions.
Self-starter, able to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team
A successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and technology, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient operation.
Ability to learn quickly and provide value when placed in unfamiliar settings
Ability to manage internal and external expectations including client
Ability to meet deadlines on aggressive schedules
Ability to multi-task and to give and take direction
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent communicator of ideas both orally and through documents and other visual aids
